Unable to resome Backup Job from an old backup point.

The Setup

SITE ONE:

Site one is the main operating location of a business that has a RN102 connected to the the local network and readycloud as well replicate

SITE TWO:

Site two is the remote secured location of a RN102 behind a firewall, Connected to ReadyCloud and Replicate

What I have Done So far

A few weeks ago I was having issues with some of the users at "SITE ONE" not being able to access folders via ReadyCloud so I ened up having to disconnect the NAS from the ReadyCloud and reconnect it back to the ReadyCloud.

I re-added users and granted them permissions on the NAS and ReadyCloud

After that my Replicate Backup Failed with errors

I than removed and reconnected the SITE TWO NAS from ReadyCloud and tried the backup again and the backup failed

I than read and followed the instructions to disconnect and reconnect each NAS from SITE ONE and SITE TWO to replicate and had to recreate the backup job.

I have not been able to resume any of the previous backups that are already on the backup nas or restore any of the previous backups I should not be having to transfer 119GB of data between the two sites when I recreated the job as the job should have read and seen that the files are already on the backup nas and only transfer the modified files or new files to the backup NAS

I have tried to "resume from" but nothing shows up as well nothing shows up under the "resume" option either

I have looked at creating a restore job but it shows that there are not backups available on the remote nas to restore

When I run the backup job it gets to a file and it looks as if it hangs on that file than the job fails.

Exit code: 30 (Data send/receive timeout)

Site ONE I am able to create port forward to the NAS

Site TWO I am unable to create port forwards as I do not have access to the router

It may come to the point that I may need to have them relocate the SITE TWO NAS to a different location where I can create and do port forwards to connect the device.

I ahve also notice that I am able to Connect to SITE TWO via the readycloud VPN but not SITE ONE via VPN?

    Hi BrentDynamics,

There could be something wrong with the way the ReadyNAS on site one when it tries to contact our servers for the connection (although as far as I know, ReadyCloud and Replicate are different servers). Still the fact that site one ReadyNAS is not reachable via ReadyCloud is a problem. Have you double checked the basic things, like DNS on the ReadyNAS? Also, if you go to the cloud tab; do you see (2) green check marks (Internet and Services)?

    Regards,

    • So I ahve checked and I have two green check marks on both NAS

I do now have the remote NAS at my Location will try and see if I can get the replicate to work.
