Not able to create readynas remote account - user exists

Hi,

I am trying to create a new ReadyNAS Remote account for NAS sync to an offsite ReadyNAS.

When I try to create the account it keeps saying the UserID exists although I have tried 20 different combinations of everything.

The User already exists, please try again.

Is there a bug with it?

Thanks.

    Hello DivProp,

Can you PM me the values you were trying to key in when creating the account? I was able to create a new account today.

    Welcome to the community!

    Regards,

Ok bizarrely, this looks to be an issue somehow with the choice of user ID and/or email (but I think user ID).  I was able to create an account eventually by using both a throwaway email and a very random user ID.

I am 100% certain, however, that many of the user IDs I tried initially were NOT already taken.

Netgear should really update the account creation page to indicate more clearly what is required for valid field info here.

        Hello arapacana,

It could be the userID, probably the number of characters.
