Subversion ( SVN ) Add-on

Hello,
Super-Poussin removed the SVN add-on and I was hoping someone (or Super-Poussin) could please update it and bring it back. What was outdated with the old one anyway? I ask because I really don't want to manually enable Root SSH and go through all the steps (I've got a few machines I need to do it on).

Thanks in advance,
Nexus2

  • Hello, I've been trying to modify this default read access, but when I try to edit the file subversion.conf (using: nano subversion.conf) I don't see anything except the nano UI. Is there something more I should do to display it, or is it empty? Sorry but I'm a SSH noob :)
  • I've been searching all over these forums for an answer but I can't seem to find one. Hopefully someone still looks at this thread.

    ReadyNAS 1100 with 4.1.8
I've installed the Subversion addon subversion_1.6.11-readynas-1.0.0.bin per whocares' instructions and the install went fine but when I go to create my first repo I get the error "svnadmin: disk I/O error".

I've checked the filesystem, played with ownership, and reinstalls. I'm at a loss as to what would cause this so if anyone can pass along any insights I would be very grateful. Otherwise I think I'll have to try a factory reset to see if that clears it up.
  • Sorry, didn't get a notification about your post. Do you still have this problem?

    -Stefan
  • Well, I do still have the issue it seems. I had done a factory reset and then I installed the addons and it worked. I had WebSVN working as well, but then all of a sudden it started doing the same thing. Anytime I try to create a repo I get the I/O error whether it's with the CLI or through the WebSVN interface.

At first I thought it might have something to do with NFS but disabling NFS doesn't seem to make a difference and my repos aren't on the NFS share anyway.

I have to admit this has me stymied, I've gone though ReadyNAS and Subversion forums and I can't seem to find anyone with a similar problem. I'm probably doing something stupid but if you could point out what it is I would appreciate it. :)
  • Without having a way to look at what you're doing/trying to do that could prove to be hard. Would it be possible to set up a Teamviewer session so I can have a look at the setup?

    -Stefan
  • Unfortunately no because the NAS isn't on a network which is connected to the internet.

I only have NFS enabled right now. Is it possible that Subversion needs one of the other services running to work?
