Subversion ( SVN ) Add-on
Hello,
Super-Poussin removed the SVN add-on and I was hoping someone (or Super-Poussin) could please update it and bring it back. What was outdated with the old one anyway? I ask because I really don't want to manually enable Root SSH and go through all the steps (I've got a few machines I need to do it on).
Thanks in advance,
Nexus2

This add-in is only for SVN support for the internal system. If you want it to work via HTTP/S, use this thread (Duo/NV/NV+/1100/X6) or this thread (Pioneer/Pro/NVX/2100/3200). WhoCares? has great support on those threads and the instructions are clear. You are probably either missing something in your apache (httpd) .conf or having a permissions issue. (chown) But either way, WhoCares's plugin is the way to go. Also take a look at his WebSVN addon (same location) for a great web-based SVN browser. - jchappoAspirantno... I'm using the add-on you just linked, which should work over HTTP and it doesn't. My apache user:group is set to admin:admin. The owner of the repos is also admin:admin.
- efalskenAspirantPost to that thread for help. WhoCares? (the maintainer) is pretty good at responding there.
- cdubeaAspirantQuick question:
Where do I find the config file as referenced here http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/ch07 ... sect-1.3.2?
I want to do a global file exclude to keep SVN from picking up the stupid Thumbs.db that Windoze insists on saving in my directories.
Oh, and thanks for making this available. I GREATLY appreciate it.
chris - efalskenAspirantYou do that on your client machine that you check in from. And the location depends on which svn client you're using. (TortoiseSVN stores its config in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Subversion)

Awesome. Thanks!
chris - borrislAspirantI'm still new so please understand if this is completely wrong.
I don't like the fact that all the repositories are created in the /opt/subversion/ folder so I deleted that folder and created a link to my projects share
cd /opt
rmdir subversion
ln -s /c/projects/ subversion
Everything seems to work fine and it get a nice backup as well. I'm still having issues with WebSVN, but that could be unrelated. - WhoCares_MentorThe re-setting of the link to a different location is perfectly fine. What's your problem with WebSVN?
-Stefan - JarnoGGuideIn the posts above it is said that I can edit the file at
/etc/frontview/apache/addons/SUBVERSION.conf
to disable anonymous access to my repositories. To edit that file i have to enable SSH and use that to get to the file. Is there no way to do it without SSHing? - efalskenAspirantNope.
