- flowchartAspirantFigured it out .... Was in "Share" security mode
Changed it to "User" and was able to see the files ....
Should I be in User or Domain ? - dbott67GuideMost home users would be in User mode, unless you're running a Windows 2003 Server at home.

This one just got me right out of trouble.
Can anyone tell me why it would become corrupted if at all?
If not corrupted, then why the need to adjust the whitelist?
It also seems slightly slower loading up, mean anything?
Basically had v.1.73 for a long while, cause it worked
Then stopped working today. I've been pulling my new router about all over the place.
Updated to 1.76 today to fix the 403 error. Still didn't fix it.
Then adjusted the whitelist with super-poussin's info in post above, and now working
But seems a little slower to load. Any ideas why?
Also, almost forgot. The preferences have changed download location. How do I fix that?
Also, I'm super charged on coffee and got uTube blasting out "the warriors theme" for those of us that are old enough to remember.
Here's the link for it. Hee Hee

mutley - super_poussinVirtuosodirctly in the ui click on preference and put a path like this /c/media/BitTorrent
PS: we are not blind :) - Mutley1AspirantOla Mr super-poussin
Yeah I know we're not blind, but the forum's so grey. It just relieves the boredom.
Thanks for getting back to me.
How to map it using mac?
I'm new here to mac. Anyone?
I understand this one for windows "/c/media/BitTorrent". But need to know for mac as that's what I'm using these days.
mutley - Mutley1AspirantI need a quick reply here people. The coffee's worn off and I'm in trouble.
Is it the same for windows as putting it in for a mac i.e. "/c/media/BitTorrent" to map the download in the preferences for transmission?
I have a Share called media and a folder in that called BiTorrent. Which is the destination. So is it the same?
What's the "c" part at the start for? or should that be my Readynas hostname where the "c" is ?
like this /readynashostname/media/BiTorrent?
Help, I'm real tired and my brain's shutting down. - super_poussinVirtuoso/c/media is a physical path
/media is a symlink
when using a pc or a mac you can use a cifs path like \\nasip\media - Mutley1AspirantGot it.
For anyone who searches for this in the future (probably be me), here is the solution to my problem
/Volumes/media/BitTorrent
Notice how there is no "c" for c:/ drive cause it's mac. It's "Volume" instead. Something like that anyway, I mean swapping the "c" for "Volumes".
My brain's just gone south on me again. Better put the kettle on again for about 15 coffees again.

Hi. I'd managed to stumble upon what I needed by messing with transmission. Thanks for your post reply, but the state of my brain right now can't even make sense of what you posted for me.
I don't understand "symlink"
Anyway I'm bang in trouble. My insulin levels must have gone through the roof, and now they've dropped so far I'm fcuked. And I've still got a way to go. And my Gdraft laptops have all lost there connection for some reason (wirelessly). I've just tested the transmission with a small d/l , so I'll now reboot router to see if G draft is kicking out internet again.
thanks for helping.
mutley - super_poussinVirtuosodid you try another theme for the forum ?
