Transmission slow download
Hi!
I have Transmission 2.42 installed on my ReadyNAS duo (sparc).
When I download a popular torrent with my WiFi connected Win7 laptop with µTorrent, i get speeds up to 4.2 Mb/S. With Transmission on the same torrent (not at the same time) I MAX on 1 Mb/s, but mostly it is between 50 and 500 kb/s.
Ports are forwarded correctly.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this? Is the problem with Transmission , or is the ReadyNAS Duo simply not fast enough RAM and CPU wise?
How fast is the fastet you've downloaded on Transmission?
Thanks!

- stian89AspirantPut my NAS as DMZ, made the speed a bit better, maxed at 2,5 Mb/s , so not full speed. But why is this? I have forwarded port 6500, and put this as the port in Transmission. It also says the port is open in the program..

This particular improvement must be do to something in the router stack, as the NAS has no idea it is in the DMZ. Though I guess it might be luck also.stian89 wrote: Put my NAS as DMZ, made the speed a bit better, maxed at 2,5 Mb/s , so not full speed. But why is this? Overall I would expect the DUO v1 to be slower than a Win 7 x86 machine. - stian89AspirantSeems like DMZ didn't matter like you said.
Has anyone gotten a high, stable download speed with Transmission on this NAS?
