Unfortunately, it is also very much at risk, and might be lost. The error means that the NAS thinks the disks aren't formatted for ReadyNAS. This is possibly a problem with the OS partition.
I suggest that the next step is to power down the NAS and remove disk 1. Then boot up Volume read-only from the boot menu and see if this helps. (booting up read-only is important, don't boot up normally). Instructions for doing this are on page 81 here:
If this gives the same error, then power down again, reinsert disk 1, and try doing an OS reinstall. Be careful not to do a factory default.
If both of these fail, then I think you will need to use RAID recovery software.
