access denied Issues
OK, OK have been reading posts both here and on the windows boards trying to figure out permissions for days. I have had many a NAS, but the current one is a Pro. I am using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit a...

Thanks Mr.B,
1. I am going to assume that you mean that in order to make windows give permissions to Dox100(who is defined as the admin login user on the desktop I use), there needs to be a NAS user with the name dox1000, and I have to be logged in as that person. My question then becomes why would I all of a sudden need such an account to have write/delete permissions when I never did before? I know it is not optimal, but how would I need to correct this problem assuming I was logged in as admin on the NAS/Mapped Network Drive?
2. I knew C was only available to the admin, but that was the only easy way I could then go in a check what the folder permissions for "media" share when my mapped drive was already the media share. (Hope that makes sense)
3. I have tried setting permissions form the advanced tab many, many times. It does nothing for the permissions to edit/delete files in any share, and specifically the "media" share from windows CFIS access.
4. I do a file system check weekly in order to correct the issues that appear each week during my once a week system integrity check. They are always fixed after the file system check is performed, and they return pretty quickly and are caught on the next weeks scan for errors. The NAS is probably 3.5 years old by now. The firmware is days old, as that was the first time in months I was able to load and install a firmware. I checked again after the install and was told that I was running the newest version for the Pro.
Thanks,
Dox
