After not using my Netgear Ultra2 for sometime I tried to log in but password not accepted
Hi
After not using my Netgear Ultra2 for sometime I tried to log in with a password I was fairly sure that I used to use but password not accepted. Can anybody suggest any remedy. Thanks
An OS reinstall from the front panel will reset the password back to the factory default. It will also reset the network settings to use DHCP. If you are running 4.2.x firmware, that will be netgear1. If you converted your NAS to run OS-6, it will be password. With OS-6 it will also turn off volume quota (which can be re-enabled from the volume settings wheel).
Instructions are on pages 14-15 here: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RNDU2000/ReadyNAS_Ultra_UltraPlus_NVX_Pro_HW_en_8July11.pdf
