Anti-virus warns on deleted file

The anti-virus software on my ReadyNas is sending me email warnings about a batch of files.  Days ago, I deleted all of the files and even the directory that the files were in, but the software is still sending me warnings on files (in directories) that dont exist anymore.  I even deleted all of my snapshots (though the warning was to a path that wasn't a snapshot) and still have the same issue.  It was only a handfull of files, but I am getting thousands of emails each day.  Help!
