Antivirus scanner definition file update failed

I kept getting errors while executing command: 'systemctl status clamav-freshclam.service' ; see below

stopping clamav: 'systemctl stop clamav-daemon'stopping clamav freshclam: 'systemctl stop clamav-freshclam'
adjusting member 'usr.bin.freshclam' in dir: /etc/apparmor.d ; adding 'capability dac_override,' and 'capability chown,'
capability setgid,
capability setuid,
capability dac_override,
capability chown,removing all file from dir: '/var/lib/clamav' (bytecode ; daily ; main ; mirrors ; antivir)
starting clamav : 'systemctl start clamav-daemon'
starting clamav freshclam: 'systemctl start clamav-freshclam'
starting 'clamav freshclam' takes a while (about 2 minutes, I guess) and afterwards it looks like the normal databased-updater is working again.... lets see what happens the coming days...

Thanks AKLGUY -- I don't yet see it in the Stable release pipeline from ReadyNAS UI. Hope they move it to the stable path soon.
yeah it is still not coming for me either I think maybe they created the help file before releasing the update

It's released (not tagged as beta or RC-1 in the kb article).
But there is always a lag of a few days to a week before they put it on the update server. In the meantime you can download from the kb article link and install it manually.
The message "Antivirus scanner definition file update failed due to download failure. Check your Internet connection." appeared last year, was fixed, then reappeared as of October 29, 2021. My current OS is 6.10.5 Hotfix 1. Are they ever going to get this right?

Yes its fixed in Firmware 6.10.6 available at https://kb.netgear.com/000064345/ReadyNAS-OS-6-Software-Version-6-10-6?language=en_US
