Backed up to USB - how can i see how much space is left?
I just set up my ReadyNAS to do a backup to USB drive connected in the back. I have a REadyNAS 314.
I have two questions:
1. how can i see how much space is left on the USB drive? It was showing intiially when i started the backup but now i don't see it listed and don't see a way to determine how much space is left
2. i formatted the drive to EXT4 per some posts here. Is that really necessary? I'd like to be able to get these files from my PC with Windows 10

It's not necessary, the NAS supports ntfs. I recommend that you switch - its not very helpful to have a backup that you can't read/verify on another device.
