I'm doing the backup over Ethernet. I read somewhere that enabling jumbo frames may help. I've enabled this and so far it hasn't crashed after uploading about 10GB of data.
I haven't actually downloaded any of the Beta firmwares, would that particular firmware version have an update related to this issue? It only mentions performance using AFP.
