Backup not working

Not really, rsync has been the preferred method for ReadyNAS to ReadyNAS backups for a long time now (although admittedly, the backup manager should say Windows/Timestamp instead of Windows/NAS (Timestamp) ). Using rsync is pretty direct, using CIFS is basically asking the server NAS to try to be a Windows machine and the client NAS to pretend that the server is a Windows machine. With rsync, there is a lot less pretending going on. :)

That's strange, if it works on the NV, it should work on the NV+. Are they using different firmware revisions?
