Ok this is confusing. I created another share on my another windows machine and it worked on that. BUT on my backup server which is a safecom NAS it always fails. The folders get created bt no files are copied accross. The logs don't say much more either.. i'm really confused :s
The destination share is a blank drive. the backup job creates all the folders and then fails.
UPDATE: ok it gets weirder. I tried just copying one folder from the share, it failed with an error but all the top level files were copied with 0bytes (two folders which were empty, 2 blank excel files and 2 blank notepad files.)
UPDATE-2: ok i loged into the nas via ssh and manually mounted the remote drive and did an ls. The following is what is had after i run a backup and it failed:
RNas:~/tmp# ls
â©â? entsf lRâ©â? onsn PkRâ©â? sentationsc UPkRâ©â?
? kRâ©â? lso PkRâ©â? Râ©â? sTâ©â? UPkRâ©â?
ampd lRâ©â? nc PkRâ©â? Râ©â? ülRâ©â? y Liste
RNas:~/tmp#
so basically its creating jibberish folders? :s
