best disk format for USB backup attached to ReadyNAS Pro 2??
Have an Imation RDX USB disk enclosure attached to a ReadyNAS Pro 2, 2011 model. Presently running a backup, many thousands of small files, running very very slow...almost 20 hours to backup 120 GB...
I know about the ext3 file reading but the USB can be connected to any of our ReadyNAS devices and read that way.
I am indeed using ext3 and I did turn on fast USB writes.
This is for daily 'last resort' files backups if some server backup goes skrookoo, ton of data to transfer, sigh.
