Best way to keep two ReadyNAS's in sync?
Hi All. Trying to find the best way to keep two ReadyNAS 10400's on a local network in sync without any intervention. Is there an app I can load on the NAS's to do this? Or will I need to run some sort of sync tool on a client?

The Rsync backup jobs are the path I recommend.

- omicron_persei8LuminaryYou can use rsync backup job(s) to transfer data from one nas to the other. There is an option to delete the files on the destination if deleted from the source, otherwise, it'd be a cumulative backup.
It's not a continuous sync though, more like a backup, a copy.

Giving Rsync a go now. Thanks!

Do you actually need 2-way sync, or is 1-way sync sufficient? (that is, are people writing to the same share on both NAS, or only one?)

A one way sync is all that is needed.
