Boot FS check really slow, w/ one "gray" disk
Hey, I've a ReadyNAS NV+ w/ 4x1TB X-RAID and version=3.01c1-p4 firmware loaded. It (fiiiinally) started acting squirrely this year...my fault...I had to rearrange my office, and took the NAS off ...

Ya, that's my bet. but cloning's worth a shot. The vast majority of the stuff is backed up & replaceable. But I'd say the jpegs from the last two years are pretty much the target of what I'd be interested in recovering.
When I had finished all the drive testing, earlier, my results seemed odd. The disks that I initially assumed to be the culprit--namely the blinking disk (disk 2), and the grayed out disk (disk 3) passed. It was disk 1 & 4 that failed SeaTools, & Lifeguard. Definitely should have been checking in on RAIDar more often.
Well...this'll be slow & expensive, but hey...I've nothing better to blow bonus money on.
