Brand new RN10400 Dead?
Hi Guys,
I purchased an RN104 about 4 weeks ago. Started with 2 x 4TB Seagate NAS Drives, got everything set up and it was working. I added 2 additional Seagate 4TB NAS drives about 10days ago and the system was reconfiguring itself, so I left it overnight. The next day...approx. 24hrs, I noticed the fans were running flat out, nothing in the display window, tried to shut down, no response, power light on, couldn't access the NAS online, asking me for password and not recognising my sign on. . Decided to pull the power. Since then, the NAS is totally unresponsive, the power pack is fine, no light on the power button, no fan noise--- NADA.
Is there an existing thread on a similar problem I can be guided too. I'm about to return this to MSY in Canberra and get them to handle it. Mind you they don't have a great reputation with Warranty returns, so should I bypass them and go straight to Netgear?
Thanks for any help in advance.
Regards
Garry

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf you go straight to us then you will get a refurbished unit as a replacement.
With the reseller if it is close enough to the purchase date (may vary from country to country, resellers may choose to be more generous than required by law) then a reseller may replace with a new unit. - WABookersAspirantmdgm,
Thanks for the advice.
