Can I read DISC coming from old RND 2110?

I have sold the old RND 2110, I kept the harddrive and I have a few files on it that I would like to copy to my PC. There were only 1 drive in it, a 1 TB drive that is OK!

Is it possible to read the files?

I now have a new RND 10211D NAS now with a new (another) 1 drive in it only - like the old NAS it is a 1 TB drive. When I put in the old drive in it as a second drive, it is not recognized as readable, the only option is "destroy" to make it usable.

  • Well what do you see on the volume tab?
    Is there 1 volume?
    What is its size?
What does it say on the left side, does it say Raid 1 or not?
Are all the disks blue with green lights? How many disks are shown?
What does it say under the images of the disks?
Does Xraid on the right have a green light under it?

Do you have 2 equal size and tested disks with no data on them that you can put in the 102 and do a factory default? Sorry but I have lost track of which of your disks have data on them, which you have wiped, which are in the 102 now and which were in the 102.

  • Solved, I had to format the extra disk in the RND 102, and then "DESTROY" the volume on it - then the process initiated - took 2,5 hours, now RAID is operative.
