Can't access dashboard (Duo V2)
ReadyNAS Duo v2
ReadyNAS been running fine, but now disc is showing as full (zero bytes available) in Windows Explorer.
If I delete files, it still shows as full in Windows, and I cant save files to it. I can, however, access all files currently on the drive from Windows and use it with no problems if I don't want to save.
I can't access the Dashboard, I just get the initial splash screen, with the spinning timer thing. (In Chrome and IE in Win 7 64)
I try the boot menu (holding down the reset switch when powering on) but it doesn't go to the stage of all the LEDs being lit, for me to try an OS reinstall or a full reset.
Help!

- whats_up_skipAspirantI could not get IE 11.0.96 to work with firmware 5.3.9 even with compatibility on or off.
I don't think it is just a Chrome issue.
I can confirm that firmware 5.3.9 will work with Firefox. - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserWhy not try 5.3.10?
- hfonsecaAspirantI have 5.3.10... I have Firefox...Safari... Windows7, ...Windows 8.1... In OS 10.9.2 I have Firefox and Safari... all latest versions and still can get into the dashboard
- hfonsecaAspirantsorry ...typo... I still can't get into the dashboard
- StephenBGuru - Experienced Userhfonseca, maybe try support.netgear.com
- hfonsecaAspirantThanx StephenB... Will do
I was hoping that I could find a quick fix on this forum...I guess I'll have to backup my files onto an external in anticipation of something drastic from support
The ticket was submitted ... Now I wait...
I'll update this thread when (and if) successful - hfonsecaAspirantSuccess !!! :)
it appears that the ReadyNAS doesn't need port forwarding setup through a firewall
I guess I was used to using Port 443 from my previous setup that I thought I should still use port fowarding
I was wrong... Thanks StephenB the support.netgear.com helped
(along with the support staff at Netgear)
Once I removed the port forwarding configuration from my firewall.... it worked
Not only did it fix my dashboard situation...I can now access all my files from any internet location outside of my home (including from work Wi-Fi) using ReadyNAS remote from my laptop... I am now really enjoying my ReadyNAS
