Can't access ReadyNAS Duo v1 with Windows 7

I don't have any users on the ReadyNAS. I haven't needed them to connect with winXP computers. I did try setting up users on the ReadyNAS as an earlier unsuccessful attempt to connect with this Win 7 machine, but then deleted them. Should I use the same login name / password on the ReadyNAS as I use to log into the Win 7 machine? Since it's a home machine, I don't use any password to login to the Win 7 machine. do I need to create one?
