Can't access ReadyNas NV+ OSX El Capitan
I have been running this nas for many years with no really problems. Now I have bought a new Imac and running El Capitan on it and I can not access the Nas. I run it through a Ethernet cable direct to the computer. One thing I have done during this problem phase is to update the Raidar software to 6.0. Raidar can find the Nas and shows it's IP-adress 192.162.162.162. It shows up in finder and when I try to connect throw AFP it can't do it. When I try to connect the admin page through Radiar it can't do it. So now I wonder what to do?

Do you mean 192.168.168.168 (the I.P. the NAS gets if it can't pickup an I.P. from the router if set to pickup via DHCP).
Is the I.P. you get in the same range as that for your PC or in a different range? - StephenBGuru - Experienced User
Do you mean 192.162.162.162 or 192.168.168.168? It should be 192.168.168.168.
I am guessing that you changed your NAS connection from using your router to directly connecting it to the new mac.
The simplest fix is to connect the NAS to the router.
If you really want a direct connect, you will need to set up the ethernet connection on the mac to use a static address (for instance 192.168.168.100, with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and a gateway of 192.168.168.1). The NAS won't be able to reach the internet (which also means that it won't be able to sync its time with the Netgear time servers). Then you should be able to access the NAS in finder using its IP address.
