Can't Connect to ReadyNAS Duo from any device

RAIDar does not see the device.
It does show up as a wired device on my router.
It has worked without difficulty for about 4 years, until yesterday morning.
I've restarted the whole system a number of times. There have been several times when I could "see" the files, but if I tried to open or manipulate them (like copy to another drive), the RAID would freeze again and disconnect. (during these times, RAIDar would see the drives before refreeze).
I've also popped out the drives and put them back in.
