Can't Connect to ReadyNAS Duo from any device

Tried bootup with just disk 1 (disk 2 removed) and had same problem. Then bootup with just disk 2 (disk 1 removed) and had access to files. Am currently dumping contents to another drive.
Is this failed disk 1, or interface in NAS unit?
