Can't connect to SSH/Frontview on NV+ after upgrade FW 4.1.8
Hi, I upgraded my Ready NAS NV+ to firmware version 4.1.8 using this from the SSH command line: # cd /tmp # wget http://www.readynas.com/download/RAIDiator/RAIDiator-4.1.8 # echo /tmp/RAIDiat...

What version of RAIDiator were you running before?
4.1.7
A firmware update should not result in the loss of the ability to connect via SSH. So it refuses the connection? Did you remember to attempt connecting as 'root'?
I did not get that far. It looks like it won't accept SSH connections at all.
Do you have any add-ons installed or stuff you've installed via SSH? If so, what?
I had a bunch of add-on and I do not remember the full list. However, none of them were installed recently and everything was working fine.
Why did you update via SSH? Was Frontview not working before doing the update?
I was in the process of installing Java in order to get a CrashPlan backup to work.
( I'd be happy to pay for ReadyNAS Vault if it was somewhat pricier than third party alternatives, but those prices are so ridiculous (10x and more for 500GB+) that I wonder if anyone uses it. But this is off-topic :). )
So I was already on the command line. I think I only got as far as "apt-get update", but I need to check the log when I get home tonight. I hope I remembered to have the SSH client to keep a session log. :)
Is there a way to force the system to accept incoming SSH?
Thanks!
