Can't mount share in Windows 7 64-bit

I can find network and sharing and change down to 56bit option but the instructions above is not happening.
secpol.msc returns not found, tried searching for it no luck.
I run windows 7 fully updated.
I have another problem, I have a xp machine which used to connect fine. I can't connect to my readynas duo with it either anymore because for some reason it has gone to a subnet of 192.192.192.192.
How can I reset the setting of the neadynas duo without deleting my backups, ie all the files on it?
