Cert problems on Windows 10
Hello guys,
I'm struggling with certification errors on my ReadyNAS 102, which is running on Firmware 6.4.2.
First of all, I get certification problems, when logging into my ReadyNAS via webbrowser under Windows 10 64 Bit (1511 based). I tested it with Firefox 45.0 and with Edge. Both browser always claim a certification error. On one Windows 10 machine I could overcome the problem by addind an exception, on an other Windows 10 64 Bit machine (1511 based) this is not possible. The browser is not accepting an exception to overcome the certification issue. It does not make a difference, whether I try to access the ReadyNAS via https or http. The error message claims, that a certification subject name is xyz (dummy) instead of the target host name abc (dummy).
Today I wanted to install the app owncloud on my ReadyNAS and here I ran into similar problems. The log states the following error message:
isWebDAVWorking: NO - Reason: [CURL] Error while making request: SSL: certificate subject name 'xyz.local' does not match target host name 'abc' (error code: 51) (Sabre_DAV_Exception)
Owncloud does not work after that. I read thru the forum, but somehow I did not find anything solving my problem, but perhaps I did not understand everything.
Can anybody help me?
Regards,
Michael
Hi kraus13,
Would it be possible if you will reset your browser settings? If the admin page is accessed via HTTP, it shouldn't tell you that the website is secured and there is a problem with the certificate. You may want to install a certificate on your web browser/s instead to avoid getting the said message everytime you attempt to access the admin page. The instructions are available here.

Hi Brian,
I tried your recommendations, but as nothing did really help, I completely deinstalled my Firefor and installed it again on the second machine, where I could not access the ReadyNAS login webpage. After that Firefox accepted the exemption regarding the certificate and I was able to log on.
That problem seems to be solved. Now I have to concentrate on owncloud. But that is a different story and perhaps by that a diffrent threat.
Thanks for your support!
