Have you considered setting up the ACL on the share from Windows to inherit with the permissions you require?
Perhaps somewhat similar to this (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12261/~/setting-up-active-directory-folder-permissions-on-readynas-(x86)) except you are using User mode not AD.
