    There is a filesystem e.g. NTFS put on the iSCSI LUN

    You would need to copy the data to your PC, delete it off the NAS, create the iSCSI target and copy the data back.

    If that 5TB of data is all the data you have, then after you copy the data off you may wish to update the firmware, verify the firmware update is successful, do a factory reset, create the iSCSI target, mount it using the initiator on your PC and restore your data from backup.
