Hi,Is there any faster way to copy between two shares? Copying over CISF/Windows between network drives is taking very long.My ReadyNAS has got RAIDator 4.1.6.Thanks.

If you were moving I'd suggest logging in as admin. Open \\ip.address.of.nas\c and move files within there. As for copying, it's not so simple. Perhaps try a file manager add-on: http://www.readynas.com/?cat=65.Btw do you know how to use Linux shell commands? If so there's another option to consider.Also note there's a difference between volumes and shares, so your thread title is a bit misleading.

I'm sure I omitted some important information. I've got ReadyNAS Duo, not Pro.And I want to move between shares, which are on different volumes.1> With ReadyNAS' ip address, browser takes me to share listing. And there are options for cut/copy/paste, but only inside a share. Not between two shares.2> I tries PHP NAvigator and Xplorer. Accessing a ReadyNAS is NOT model dependent.I strongly suggest you start with mounting "\\NAS\c" (only admin login works) and use your connection protocol (CIFS,NFS,AFP) to move files & folders around between shares.On windows you are required to unmount all "\\NAS\<share>" mounts first.That WILL work, but if you want direct linux console access then you need to install the SSH-addon. Remember to read the warning!

Update: AjaXplorer started working after a while by itself (I guess it takes a while longer for add-ons to set up, after they appear on the front end's list), but, well, another n44b issue struck: I can't actually find the shares in the available trees there. And... then I saw redtomato's second message. There's my problem.

Guess there's no trouble-free way to do it then. I'l leave my Windows PC running for a couple of days to perform the move job then. :)

you can not map drives with different users at the same time.

you must disconnect all shares before trying to map admin share

Sorry, I have to ask another n44b question: Does each share actually represent a different user on the NV+?
