Detailed SMART Status for Drives ?
Hi. Long time ReadyNAs user here - all the way back to Infrant.
I just replaced my 3x Pro6 units with 3x RN424s. I can't access the detailed SMART status now that I used to see under Health Status. What's provided now is very cursory - no info on errors, on-time, power ons etc etc. As this is my only machine with a direct access to a STATA connector (all the other ones are Macs). it's really usefull to have this detailed info. USB drive connections are no use.
Is there an add-on that would provided this ?
Thanks

I agree that there are more information being provided on the legacy NAS compared to the newer OS 6 versions.
You can see the complete info on disk_info.log. Also, you can submit idea on the Ideas exchange board or others might have requested this as well.
Hope this helps!
Regards

Thanks - just what I was looking for.
I sold a drive to a joker who reported that it was a bad drive. He then sent me a SMART page from another drive with cut/paste on top outlining my drive's details. When I sent him back the actual SMART status page from the ReadyNAS, I heard no more from him !
That's one reason for the detailed page.
