Direct Update From old 1100 to RN3130
Hey
I have an old 1100 Modell running. There are 4 Hard Disks installed and they are pretty new. - So I want to use them in my new RN3130 (which Comes without any Harddrive)
Is there an easy way to upgrade, or do I have to Format the disks and create all Folder structures and so on!?
I know, that I have to create a backup first. -> But does anybody know, if it is possible, just to Switch the harddisks and anything should run?
THX - Have a nice weekend

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe RAID format and filesystem are both different.
You will need to backup your data, verify the backup is good, power down, move the disks across, do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) and restore your data from backup.
You will find the RN3130 is a lot faster than your 1100 was. - Zero_G_AspirantThanks - Perfect answer.
