Disk Useage Critical (again?)
Hi, OS 6.6.0 2x1TB WD Red drives (on HCL list) A nasty warning this morning: System volume root's usage is 91%. This condition should not occur in normal conditions. Contact technical support....

You likely will run into issues getting support since you are running OS6 on a legacy NAS. Can you ssh in? If so, please run df . -h when you get in, and post the results.
FWIW, I've been told that Netgear Data Recovery Services are available to folks running OS 6 on legacy.

Hi davidr1,
Given the error message, an L3 from the NETGEAR support group would need to check the OS partition on your NAS.
Upon checking the ReadyNASRNDP2000|ReadyNAS Pro 2 that you have needs a contract for support, when you call; the support will be explaining this to you in detail.

You likely will run into issues getting support since you are running OS6 on a legacy NAS. Can you ssh in? If so, please run df . -h when you get in, and post the results.

/dev/md0 is a device, and is where the OS partition lives. /usr, /var, /etc, ....
The important thing is that you are only using 18% of the space, not 91%. Whatever caused the space usage to spike appears to have cleared.
Are you seeing any signs of mis-behavior - partial screens in the web ui, services that can't be turned on (or off), etc?

No warning emails today ... that is a relief.
As a linux user I am 'concerned' that such a spike could occur. Not knowing the cause leaves one vulnerable.
I do have issues with OS 6.6.0 as since installing that on all my units, I have noticed that all of them:
1) may not recognise a usb drive has been hot connected, or
2) if the drive is recognised and shows on Admin Page, may disconnect the drive
3) or may function properly.
This plays havoc with scheduled backups.
All my backups are done by rsync. If a usb drive is not connected backups may run backing up to a folder in /media instead of failing with 'Destination not found' message.
The difficulty is this is erratic behaviour. As my backups are unattended I don't know until the next day.
It is not faulty drives - each has been tested. (I have just connected a USB drive to the NAS - activity took place as usual but it took nearly 30 seconds to show the drive).
