DLNA Shares sporadically visible on PS3
Up until a few weeks ago, I had no issues with my video share showing up on my PS3. Since then, its been sporadic. When I hit Rescan Media files in frontview, it reappears on the PS3 for a few seconds then dissappears. If I do a reboot of the NAS, they show up on the PS3 normally. But then it all starts over again a few days later. I shouldnt have to keep rebooting my NAS, should I? I havent changed any settings with the shares or streaming services either, so I dont know why this is happening. The PS3 is hard wired to my network, as is the NAS, so I am really at a loss here. Any ideas? Thank you!

- kossbossGuideHow many TBs of Media are you sharing and how many files (videos+music+pictures)?
Please ensure you are on the latest firmware of the NAS. I recommend doing an OS Reinstall (your data will be safe - your password will reset to "netgear1" - your network settings will get turned back to DHCP) - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou may wish to try this Pre-Release add-on: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=385166#p385166

Hello, thank you for the reply. I no longer have the most current software version, I had issues with Rescan getting hung up on .m2ts files(in this problematic PS3 folder) So restored back one version. The rescan no longer hangs but I have this visibility issue with PS3 now.kossboss wrote: How many TBs of Media are you sharing and how many files (videos+music+pictures)?

Hello and thank you for the reply. I have roughly 150GB of Videos, about 10 videos in this folder. No pictures and no music. I have a total of 8TB with X-RAID2, so a total of roughly 5.5TB in total free space to use. I do have another Video folder, but that is not set up for DLNA, its only SMB/CIFS. This Folder has no issues on the Dune, but thats expected.
I am not questioning you(well, I guess i am sort of, but I mean no disrespect!), but are you 100% positive data isnt wiped with an OS reboot/reinstall? I thought I read somewhere it would?

OS Reinstall - does not destroy data, but does reset your admin password to factory default, and resets your IP configuration to DHCP.
Factory Default - destroys everything: add-ons, user configuration, and data.
