Resolved. In case anyone else comes across this thread looking for a solution to a similar problem, here is how I fixed my issue of users no longer being able to access their home shares. In FrontView, Security / Security Mode... I changed the setting from Domain to User and then back to Domain again. I hit apply to 'refresh' the domain setting. Got a message saying 'unsuccessful joining domain'. Entered domain administrator password and clicked apply. Got a message saying 'successfully joined domain'. All user shares now accessible again so I'm guessing it just needed to have the setting refreshed.
