Downgrade from 4.2.31 to 4.2.30?
I recently resurrected one of my ReadyNAS 4 units. The web interface is spotty as all get out - web service seems to hang after a few hours, cannot change IP address via the UI, etc.
I checked another of my units and it is running 4.2.30 and is rock solid.
I can only assume the latest 4.2.31 is buggy.
Any thoughts on how to downgrade? Is this even an acceptable action?

You can downgrade, but the only change in 4.2.31 was a patch for a serious security vulnerability.
Bug Fixes and Enhancements
- Fixes for Samba CVE-2017-7494.
I think it's quite unlikely that this patch is the cause of your problem.

Actually, right now, I cannot even get into the web admin at all:
There is something definitely broke with the web server. I was actually hoping to install the SSH module so maybe I could telnet in to review logs, etc. but I see no way to do that now either.
Thoughts on how to fix this?

Hello Dave,
You can set the NAS on telnet(tech support mode) through the boot menu to access it via telnet locally. Please click here for guide on how to access the boot menu of the NAS just make sure to select the exact model number of your NAS since each NAS has different way to access the boot menu.
Since you have just resurrected the NAS, I assume there is no data on it. You may start with an OS re-install to reflash the OS or start with a factory reset.
