Error - Antivirus scanner definition file update failed
Hello,
I would like to know if anyone has a solution for a certain problem with ReadyNAS device - the device reports the following error: Antivirus scanner definition file update failed due to download failure. Check your Internet connection.
I saw over that community forms that some other people are reporting same problem with diferent devices. I saw also that some of you recommend updating the device throuigh SSH connection. I am attaching a file, as you can see I rebooted the NAS and it managed to update but it's failing again after that. The problem is not exactly with the manual updates, but mostly that I prefer the device to automatically update the definitions and to no generate errors and reports to our support team. Is there any permanent fix for that problem?
Regards,
SVetoslav

Hi Brick9ers,
Welcome to the Community!
Currently, we are still investigating what could be the cause of the issue on the anti-virus update. You may also follow this thread. Most likely, we will update that thread once we get any new feedback about the investigation on this issue.

Hotfix1 is already released. Kindly try to get your NAS connected on the Internet and reboot

I may have purchased this with 4 2TB drives.
Serial # 4FHC855400193
Firmware 6.10.3
You folks should know the OS, I do not.
This has not been able to auto update the AV since Sept 18th. It's under warranty right? You folks do support your product? RIGHT???
