Error putname+64 & strlen+10 on RN104 after upgrading to 6.9.1 when doing aggregation eth0+eth1
I upgraded my RN104 system from 6.4.1 to 6.5.2 and then directly to ReadyNAS OS 6.9.1, everithing worked fine, but because I had to do a OS Reinstall while on 6.4.1 to revcover my password. Teh I ha...

Hello, today I were able to update the FW to the ReadyNAS to 6.9.3 and I were able to do the Link Aggregation again. I used the option for the Adaptative Load Balancing and it worked fine. I just had a minor problem the 1st time I asked the RAIDar to open the Adminstratior web page, something was wrong and I had to manually put 192.168.0.114/admin/ so it worked perfectly.
I have one question about something that was mentioned in this thread: how much can I expect in average in performamce improvement by using the new functions implemented by Netgear ? (I understand that to get this advantage I have t reformat all volumes and reload the data)

I replaced all harddisks not too long ago. But I just extended the volume and didn't replace it. Does this count as change or do I need to completely delete it?
To get the performance boost you need to destroy the volume and recreate it (or equivalently do a factory default).

My RN102 was running jbod from 2013, and about 2 years ago I was seeing about 35 MB/sec download speeds. A factory reset increased the speed to about 70 MB/sec.
You can benchmark your RN100 speed with NAStester ( http://www.808.dk/?code-csharp-nas-performance )

Wow, it doubled the speed. I probably will do that reset procedure as soon as I will be sure I have 100% of my data bacled up in another storage. Thank you for the feedback.

Thank you for the tip about the utility to do the measurement. I am a MAc user, but I'll connect a Windows 10 machine and get the results.

AFP might not perform identically to SMB, so you might want to try testing on the Mac also.
There are other techniques you can use - for instance, just measuring the time it takes to do a large transfer. NasTester uses that idea - the default settings transfer a 400 MB file to the NAS 5 times, and then reads it back 5 times. It reports the time of each transfer, and gives you the average.
Lan Speed Test ( https://totusoft.com/lanspeed ) does something similar, and there is a Mac version available.
