Error: V-12 power is out of normal range

Hello,

I have a ReadyNAS 3200 with dual power supplies. The unit is fairly new, just a few months old. I've been receiving the following error message repeatedly: V-12 power is out of normal range [expected: -12.00 current: -12.86]

When I first started configuring the unit I had it plugged into a standard outlet and I thought that maybe there was a problem with the power level from the outlet. When I finished with the configuration I rackmounted it and plugged it into two different UPS's. Unfortunately the error still shows up in the log. Is the problem with one of the unit's power supplies?

  • Bumping this thread. I have been receiving the same message frequently:
V+12 power is out of normal range [expected: 12.00 current: 11.08]

Sometimes several times a week, sometimes less frequently. Both during daytime and nighttime.

NAS: Readynas Ultra Duo. No UPS.
I am using an external 12V DC power supply rated up to 6amp. Has worked fine for almost two years until I started to get the warnings. When I measure the voltage under load I get around 12.05. I am suspecting that the power supply is not the problem.

Any other suggestions on what could be the issue?
