External Backup Drive Working But Not Recognized?
We have 2 3TB WD External USB drives we use for backup on our ReadyNAS 312. When the drives are using 4096 bytes per sector it can cause backup problems with Windows 7 Backup, so we keep them formatte...
It is on NTFS with 512-byte emulation, the only change was the 4096 to the 512. Despite it not being able to recognize the filesystem, the backups still seem to work fine. I was mainly wanting to know if it not recognizing the filesystem can cause real problems now or later on.
