False SMART errors from bay on NAS Duo??

No, that is not correct. The count is retained within the drive itself, so you should get the same stats reported on the PC as the Duo.

Read/write tests would pass of course (assuming all the bad sectors have been reallocated).

If Acronis Disk Monitor also shows 0 reallocated sectors when you look at the stats, then that suggests that the NAS is somehow not reading the stats correctly - which is very strange. I agree that upgrading the firmware to the released version is a good idea. If you are still seeing reallocated sectors on the NAS but none on the PC after the upgrade, then you should open a support ticket.
