Files not showing up on DLNA devices
I have a ReadyNAS Duo, running the latest RAIDiator and ReadyDLNA.
I have several shares, broken into Photos, Video and Audio.
Within Video, I have three categories - Movies, TV Shows and Other Videos.
I generally stream over my network either directly to my TV (directly wired to the network) or to my PS3 (wireless).
Without warning suddenly I could not see any photos or audio on my streaming devices (this includes my TV, my PS3 and even my android tablet). I COULD see my "Movies" folder but not my TV Shows or Other Videos folder. These show up just fine while browsing the network through my Win 7 computer. Until recently I could copy of my files over to the "Movies" folder and they would show up on the streaming device.
I have tried a few things (reinstalling all firmware etc.). I have tried deleting the files.db filelist that ReadyDLNA creates to force a brand new DLNA filelist to be created with no luck.
Does anyone have any thoughts? I'm at my wits end.

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIt sounds like a new media file in the Movies folder might be crashing the scan.
Do you have ssh enabled? - neksysAspirantI do, with root access enabled. I could not find the scan logs (but in fairness I did not look very far or hard).
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThere is a debug add-on, but you might find it simpler to run
minidlna -d -R
from the ssh command line, and see what happens. - neksysAspirantWelp, that was easy. I removed the offending file (which, ironically, we the very first file scanned) and all seems to be right with the universe.
Thank you very much for the assistance! - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserYou can likely convert (transcode or remux) the movie and work around the scanning problem that way.
