Need help, firmware update from 5.3.7 to 5.3.8 failed.
"Device is offline, please wait" popup on dashboard. Security page "COMM_ERROR"
Can't reboot from dashboard, "DEVICE_IN_REBOOT_ERROR" popup.

- de_niroGuidePlease contact support center to find assitance, the issue should be hiding in some configuration so technical support needs to take a look in tech support mode.
- techheadAspirantUpdate:
So last night I did a factory reset and it booted normally to 5.3.8
A restart yielded the same, original problem with a messed up dashboard and the aforementioned errors so I just left it on until this morning when I received an email stating that a raid resync was complete. It's possible that a raid resync was in progress after the first firmware update attempt, I don't know. Just throwing this out there for whomever may experience the same issue.
I learned 3 years ago not to trust these for primary data storage so this one has been used as a backup target only. - de_niroGuideare you using IE10?can you try other browser such as Chrome or Mozilla?
