You could try using a NAS backup job to copy the folder to a temporary share. If that works, delete the original, and copy back into the share.

Hello Marty_M,
The time/date of the device is current, but the devices are not part of a domain. Note that most folders' timestamps have not changed; just a couple.

Thanks. I kinda did that by creating new folders in the share and using the NAS admin page to copy/paste the folders from the old to the new. (I wasn't clear enough about accessing the NAS from the PC. It couldn't explore the folders via Windows Explorer or Finder, but through http the contents could be seen. Just recently could do this via Ethernet instead of WiFi, so it was a pretty quick task.
