I am having the exact same issue. I just created an account here to ask and luckily found this thread before creating a new one. I am tech support for a company that uses a ReadyNAS Duo V2 and this issue is driving them insane. I tried disabling the antivirus software thinking that this could be the issue with no luck. I have not tried switching off the thumbnail cach yet. If anyone can shed any light on this I would be extremely grateful as I am under pressure to get this issue resolved asap.
