"Folder in Use" ReadyNAS 10400
Hi, I have been try to edit some folder names on a ReadyNAS share using PC / Win 7 /Explorer. One edit works then I go to the next folder and get the message "Folder is in use or File in Folder is in...
I Googled the issue "file locked on NAS" and came across a solution in the Synology forums. It seems to work in my case.
In Win Explorer select Organize/Layout and uncheck details pane. This closes the pane with the folder icon/thumbnail.
Just did this and edited 20 folder names without a glitch. Turned details pane back on and issue reappeared.
