Folder operations failed

It seems that I have a problem with my readynas 104.

Every time I refresh Shares/Shares in the Admin Page I get an errormessage:

Folder operation failed.

18007020001

Success

I'm concerned about success could be an error ;-)

This errormessage appears on clicking the first time on Shares and refreshing this side. There is no error clicking and refreshing Browse.

Could anybody help me?

Best regards,

willorix

  • Yes, until this point where I have to change permission rights, my NAS did all I really needed and over the time I was hoping and looking for a better solution than a reset to factory defaults. But No, this seems to be the only solution. So I backed up all my data and did it.

    Hello willorix,

Are you getting the same results when you use another web browser? What is the firmware version of your NAS, by the way?

    Welcome to the community!

    Hi willorix,

I hope you can provide the information requested by my colleague. Could you also tell us if you will get the same behavior or error message if you will create a new share, user or make changes in the admin page?

    Kind regards,

Yes, I've got the same results by Firefox, Chrome and Opera.

After your request I found that there is a firmware update available that was not shown by "check for updates". So I updated now from 6.5.1 to 6.5.2 with no effect to the error message.

Creating a new share brings up the error message at both sites: Shares/Shares and Shares/Browse.

On creating a new user there is no error message.

Installing/deinstalling an app from available apps succeeded with no error.

Some other oddities: some apps can not be deactivated or removed (moddle and piwigo). readycloud cannot be activated.

      Regards

        Hello Willorix,

Can you post a screenshot of what you get under Cloud? Please also check if FW update was successful.

        Regards,

  • Mine is the same - do you also have the internet services green arrow missing

Sorry, I don't know about a green arrow. Do you miss this on admin site?

Seems that network services and all other things are running fine on my NAS but readyCloud. Since the system can't read the cloud owner it can't connect to readyCloud. I think this could be repaired by setting up the cloud owner in the configuration. But as long as I don't know how to do this I use the NAS without readyCloud (Still hoping that there will be a solution one day).

        Hi There,

I am having the exact same issue that you are.  I look forward to seeing a solution in this forum.

  • Hi,

I have the same problem on my RN204 (6.6.0).

Error message "Failed to read cloud owner from the configuration.

    Code: 24001020002"

    ReadyCloud connection is disabled.

It was not a major problem still i have to define a new share : I can't define permissions on shares.

I have 4 other NAS available (RN212 6.6.0), all of them are ok with the same ReadyCloud account.

If anyone have a suggestion, i will appreciate it!
