Apps operation failed......

I have tried to install Anti-Virus Plus (or any other app) from NETGEAR verson 2.0.3 (ReadyNAS RN212) and keep getting the follow error message:

Apps operation failed.

X  Application avplus cannot be downloaded at this time. Check your network connection and try again later.

I have been trying to get avplus installed for the last week and keep getting the same message......my interent connection is working fine, however I keep getting the same message for any other app I try to install.

Any suggestions?

  • Do email alerts work?

If you set a static I.P. address on the NAS did you remember to specify the DNS Server addresses?

      Hello lwnc1958,

      Welcome to the community!

How about ReadyCloud, does it not work too? When you go to Cloud, do you see Internet Available and Services have green check marks?

      Regards,

Thanks for the responses.....yes ReadyCloud was working along with green marks on Interent and services.....

I have NAS setup with a static IP address....I changed it this evening to "Using DHCP" then it started to work.  I then reset it to "Static" and assigned an ip address and now it is NOT working again.....The NAS worked for a long time with a static ip address however, it doesn't work anymore.....don't know what changed.  For now I'll use DHCP, however, it is nice having a "static ip" since I always know where the NAS is located.

Ok, everything is working well.  I have set a static IP address and changed the DNS server address to a different provider and everything seems to be working...  Apparently, the DNS server addresses I had did not work correctly.... thanks for asking the question about DNS addresses.....made me take a close look at my settings.
