a NAS is just a mono purpose PC. So they have access to SATA. Since Netgear is kind enough to provide a full Debian, you have access to fdisk via SSH which will do the job, just check carefully which drive you erase of course... if you have a newer NAS with HDMI, I believe you can setup a full UI and have a linux PC with all the tools (Gparted, file browser...)
